Homemade Peach BBQ Sauce: Sweet, Tangy & Perfect for Summer Grilling

If you're a peach lover, you have to try this homemade peach BBQ sauce. It's the perfect addition to any summer BBQ—sweet, tangy, and made with love. And let’s be honest: most of us grab store-bought sauces to make life in the kitchen a little easier (no shame in that!). But I want to invite you to fall back in love with cooking—starting with something simple, like making your own sauce.

This peach BBQ sauce is a great entry point into the world of homemade condiments. It’s easy, approachable, and ridiculously delicious.

So... Why Peaches?

Peaches are such a versatile fruit. They can be juicy and soft or slightly crisp, depending on how ripe they are. You can enjoy them on their own, slice them over a salad, toss them onto a pizza (yes, seriously!), or bake them into a cozy dessert like peach pie. But their superpower? They're packed with nutrition.

Peaches are rich in beta carotene, vitamin C, and fiber—which help your body fight off free radicals that can contribute to diseases like cancer. They also contain both soluble and insoluble fiber—what I like to call the “movers” and “pushers” of the gut.

  • Soluble fiber is the “mover,” helping things glide through your system by softening stool and supporting regularity.

  • Insoluble fiber is the “pusher,” adding bulk and helping waste move through more efficiently.

Together, they keep your digestion on track—and with a sauce this tasty, you won’t even realize you’re doing something good for your gut.

What Is Peach BBQ Sauce?

Peach BBQ sauce is a delicious twist on traditional barbecue sauces. It marries the sweet, juicy flavor of ripe peaches with the smoky tang of classic BBQ. The result? A bold, bright sauce that’s perfect for brushing over grilled chicken, slathering on pulled pork, or even dipping fries into (trust me on that one).

If you’re ready to step into the world of DIY sauces, this peach BBQ sauce is where to start. It’s bright, flavorful, and brings just the right amount of summer sweetness to whatever’s sizzling on the grill.

  • Cook Time: 20 mins
  • Total Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

Instructions

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz bag frozen peaches
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup peach cider vinegar (Fresh Press Farms)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (omit if triggers)

  2. Stir occasionally and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 15–20 minutes, until the peaches are soft and everything is well combined.
  3. Remove from heat. Carefully blend the mixture using an immersion blender directly in the pot, or transfer to a blender and puree until smooth.
  4. Return to the pot if needed and simmer a few more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Let the sauce cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
